DEO - CDBG-MIT: General Infrastructure Program

The Village of Indiantown is applying to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunities (DEO) Community Development Block Grant - Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) General Infrastructure program. The application will request funding for the Village to develop two (2) possible projects:

  1. Village of Indiantown Uptown Area Road and Infrastructure Improvements ($14,100,000)
  2. Village of Indiantown Wastewater Collection Improvements ($9,865,000)

Public Notice of Grant Application for the REBUILD FLORIDA CDBG-MITIGATION GENERAL INFRASTRUCTURE PROGRAM For the Village of Indiantown, Florida

WEBSITE PUBLIC NOTICE

The Village of Indiantown, Florida anticipates applying for Rebuild Florida General Infrastructure Program funding provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to support long-term mitigation efforts by assisting the State of Florida and its local governments in minimizing or eliminating the risks and reducing losses from future disasters. This program is being administered by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) through the Community Development Block Grant – Mitigation General Infrastructure Program (CDBG-MIT GIP). The total allocation for the CDBG-MIT GIP Round II funding is $175,000,000 with a minimum funding request of $2,000,000 per application. No local match is required to apply for the funding.

The Village of Indiantown, Florida anticipates submitting 2 applications for a total of $23,965,000 in funding through the CDBG-MIT GIP Round II. The projects are as follows:

  1. Village of Indiantown Uptown Area Road and Infrastructure Improvements ($14,100,000)
  2. Village of Indiantown Wastewater Collection Improvements ($9,865,000)

In accordance with guidance provided by HUD, the public input requirement for this program includes the option to post information about the proposed funding projects on a public website with a 14-day public comment period.
